carsales’ Unique Audience up 7.7% to 2,078,000 in October

carsales records Unique Audience over 1 million higher than CarsGuide & Gumtree.

October 2016 was an excellent month for carsales as measured by Nielsen’s Digital Ratings Monthly.

In key Unique Audience and Time spent per person metrics, carsales improved markedly on already-strong September results.
 

carsales’ Unique Audience increases 7.7% to 2,078,000

carsales’ Unique Audience increased 7.7% in October to 2,078,000, to once again lead the auto category.

carsales’ Unique Audience was over 1 million higher than Gumtree Automotive (down 13.3% to 910,000) and CarsGuide (stagnant at 963,000).

Time spent per person on carsales surpasses 1 hour and 20 minutes

An important measurement of audience engagement is Time spent per person.

In October, the Time spent per person average on carsales was 1 hour 23 minutes and 40 seconds, which increased by just over 50% from the 55 minutes and 34 seconds result recorded in September.

carsales’ October result was over 40 minutes higher than Gumtree Automotive and more than 10x that of CarsGuide.
